Dahal, Chinese Foreign Minister discuss Nepal-China ties

Kathmandu, Sept 10

Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, has called on ruling Nepal Communist Party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday. During the meeting held at the Marriot Hotel, Dahal and Wang discussed a wide range of issues surrounding Nepal-China relations.

Following the meeting, Dahal informed the media that they discussed how ties between the two countries could be further strengthened in the present context.

“We discussed the prospect of the Chinese government and its people’s support to Nepal’s development endeavours and about Nepal’s expectation from its northern neighbour,” informed Dahal.

He further said the meeting also dwelt on expanding the areas of cooperation and collaboration between the two countries.

In addition, both the leaders talked how the ties between the NCP and the Chinese Communist Party could be further strengthened.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang is currently on a three-day official visit to Nepal. He arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday upon invitation from Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali.
