Current House session prorogued; budget session to begin on May 22

Kathmandu, May 18

The government on Thursday recommended the President Bidya Devi Bhandari to prorogue the current Parliament session today itself and call the new session for May 22.

The government will present annual policy and programme and budget plan for the next fiscal year in the session to begin next week.

A Cabinet meeting held this morning made the recommendation.

After the end of the current session, the impeachment motion filed against Chief Justice Sushila Karki has been pushed into limbo.
