Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki is set to assume office today at 11 am at Singha Durbar.
Karki was appointed Prime Minister by President Ram Chandra Paudel on Friday night after the government collapsed amid the Gen-Z movement. She took the oath of office the same evening and dissolved the parliament.
Upon assuming office today, Prime Minister Karki is preparing to expand a small-sized cabinet. Discussions on ministerial appointments are ongoing, and the final list of ministers is expected to be announced today.
On her first day in office, Saturday, Karki visited hospitals to meet those injured in the protests.
