Kathmandu, September 4
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has summoned 58 persons to give their statements on the Lalita Niwas land scam.
Issuing a public notice on Wednesday, the anti-corruption constitutional body told them to come to the commission office within next seven days. Most of the summoned ones include landlords who allegedly bought the government land in the posh location. Likewise, there are a few former government officials.
The commission has already recorded statements from various other officials in the past.
Though concrete results of the probe have not come out yet, the commission says it is minutely investigating into the scam for a past few months.
