Chitwan, March 17
A person died after being hit by a truck in Bharatpur city of Chitwan district in central Nepal on Tuesday morning.
Police say 35-year-old Laxmi Subedi was riding on her bicycle carrying milk when the truck (Na 7 Kha 4091) hit her fatally. The truck was heading towards Gitanagar from Bharatpur.
Police have arrested the truck driver for further investigation. Meanwhile, the locals took the vehicle under control. They also briefly staged a protest demanding action against the culprit and proper compensation to the victim’s family.
