Chitwan, August 19
Two persons died when a truck and motorbike collided at Kurintar, Ichhakamana rural municipality-4 along the Prithvi Highway in Chitwan.
The truck (Na 6 Kha 5913) heading towards Narayangadh from Kathmandu and the motorbike (Ba 88 Pa 5301) heading towards the same direction collided at around 3 am today. Police say the bike had hit the rear side of the truck.
The victims have been identified as Saroj Rokaya (25), a resident of Chamunda Bindrasaini-6 of the Dailekh district and Saroj Majhi (32) from Kathmandu. Rokaya was riding the bike whereas Majhi was riding on the pillion.
Seriously injured in the accident, the two were taken to the Chitwan Medical College, where they died during treatment, the Muglin Area Police Post says.
Police have arrested the truck driver for further investigation and action.
