SUV hit kills septuagenarian in Chitwan in the wee hours

Chitwan, August 19

An SUV hit a septuagenarian to death in Ratnanagar municipality of the Chitwan district in southern Nepal in the wee hours of Thursday.

The victim has been identified as Khadga Bahadur Rana Magar (71), a local, according to DSP Rabin Babu Regmi of the Area Police Office.

A Bolero four-wheeler had hit the man near the Khageri bridge along the East-West Highway, critically injuring him. He was rushed to the Bharatpur Hospital for treatment, but he died on the way.

Meanwhile, locals briefly obstructed the road demanding action against the driver, this morning.

Another road accident in the district killed two persons today itself.
