Kathmandu, May 3
Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has warned of action if candidates of local level elections violate the code of conduct implemented for the polls.
Speaking at a function in Kathmandu, he also reminded the candidates, who have filed their nominations on Tuesday, of their obligation to other laws and regulations as well.
Yadav was of the view that the candidates would not be able to ensure implementation of laws if they failed to comply themselves with the code of conduct before elections.
Meanwhile, Yadav requested media to monitor if the code of conduct is being implemented.
