Nuwakot, May 14
A bomb exploded near a voting station in Belkotgadhi Municipality of Nuwakot district while voting was underway.
The bomb had exploded within the reach of 500 metres from the Panchase Secondary School voting centre in Belkotgadhi-4, DSP Rishiram Kandel of the District Police Office informed.
The explosion, however, did not incur any loss. Though the incident created a terror among locals, voting was not halted.
The CPN Maoist led by Netra Bikram Chand Biplav might have planted the bomb, police suspected.
A local has been arrested for further investigation.
