Nepal on Sunday defeated India in their match under the ACC U-19 Asia Cup Cricket played in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia.
This is the first time that Nepal registered a victory over India in any cricket match.
In the match played at Kinrara Academy Oval, Nepal defeated the youth team of Test-playing nation by 19 runs.
Captain Dipendra Singh Airee’s overall excellence was important for Nepal to secure the win.
Earlier in the first innings, Nepal had posted a 186-run target to India. The opponents, however, could score only 166 runs in 48.1 overs.
Airee has been declared the man of the match.
Nepal, who were defeated by Bangladesh on Saturday, will face the hosts on Tuesday.

ACC U-19 Asia Cup: Nepal post 186-run target to India

Kathmandu, November 12
Nepal have posted a 186-run target to India during their match of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup being played in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia on Sunday.
India are chasing the target in the second innings.
In the first innings, Nepal scored 185 runs at the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. Captain Dipendra Singh Airee’s excellent batting had put the opponents under control.
Airee scored 88 runs including six fours and one six in 101 balls
The beginning, however, was not exciting for Nepal as they lost two wickets for just 28 runs. Later, Airee partnered with opener Jitendra Singh Thakuri to contribute 49 runs to Nepal. Thakuri solely made 36 runs.
Bhim Sarki, Anil Shah and Aasif Shekh contributed 15, six and three runs respectively.
Nepal had lost to Bangladesh in the first match played yesterday.
