The Armed Police Force (APF) has arrested an Indian national with approximately 9.5 kg of hashish from Alau in Birgunj Metropolitan City-17, Parsa.
The arrested man has been identified as 20-year-old Sandeep Chaudhary, who is from India. He was arrested by a team deployed from the APF Nepal Border Security Gulma in Alau.
According to the APF, Chaudhary was carrying the hashish on a motorcycle after concealing it in a false compartment inside the motorcycle’s fuel tank.
The security personnel recovered approximately 9.5 kg of hashish packed in 21 packets from the motorcycle’s fuel tank.
The APF said Chaudhary, along with the confiscated hashish and motorcycle, has been handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal action.
