The National Examination Board is preparing to publish the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results within one month.
The Board aims to release the results by Baisakh 29. According to Examination Controller Tuka Raj Adhikari, marksheets and answer sheets are being received from districts across the country. “We are separating and entering the marksheets, and answer sheets are also arriving,” he said.
The SEE was conducted from Chaitra 19 to 29. This year, answer sheets were evaluated at the examination centres immediately after the exams concluded. The evaluated answer sheets, along with marksheets, are now being sent to the Board. So far, materials from 8–10 districts have been received, while others are in transit.
A team of 30 staff members has been deployed at the Board, including 17 assigned specifically for data entry. To ensure the timely publication of results, staff have been working even on public holidays. The government had directed the Board to publish the results within a month, and preparations are underway to ensure accuracy without errors.
The government adopted the policy of early result publication to reduce unnecessary stress on students caused by delays.
This year, a total of 512,421 students filled out forms for the SEE. Among them, 441,566 were regular candidates, while 70,855 applied for grade improvement. Of the total, 257,613 were female students, 254,801 male, and 7 others. Additionally, 23 students appeared for the exam from a centre in Japan. A total of 1,966 examination centres were designated for the SEE.
