The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) has begun today. The Office of the Controller of Examinations (Grade 10), under the National Examination Board, stated that the exam started simultaneously across the country from 8 AM today.
On the first day, the compulsory English subject exam is being conducted. The SEE examination will conclude on April 12.

According to Examination Controller Tuka Raj Adhikari, a total of 5,12,421 students had filled out the SEE examination forms this year. Among them, 4,41,566 are regular candidates, while 70,855 are appearing for grade improvement.
The number of female students appearing for the exam is higher than that of males. This year, 2,57,613 female students, 2,54,801 male students, and seven others are participating in the examination. Additionally, 23 students are taking the exam from a centre in Japan.

The National Examination Board has stated that the answer sheets of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) will be evaluated at the respective examination centres, and the results will be published within one month.
A total of 1,966 examination centres have been designated across the country for the exams. For security, each centre has been assigned 15 police personnel, one centre superintendent, one assistant superintendent, one invigilator for every 20 students, one office assistant for every 100 students, and two additional staff members.
Ban on mass monitoring

This year, mass monitoring of SEE examinations has been prohibited. The decision was made following complaints that representatives from various organisations entering exam halls in the name of monitoring were disrupting students during their exams.
For monitoring purposes, a committee has been formed in each district under the coordination of the Chief District Officer.
