Kathmandu, July 22

The meeting of the Legislature-Parliament began at around 4.55 pm on Friday. The day’s business includes presentation of budget-related Bills in the Parliament for approval.

The CPN-Maoist Centre has said it will not let the Bills pass. The Nepali Congress and the Centre are to present their no-confidence motion in the Parliament on Friday itself. The House is likely to witness passionate discussions on the Bills, and the motion that the NC and the Centre have tabled accusing the government of failing to address the Madhesh crisis and failing the victims of last year’s quakes.

It should be noted that the United Democratic Madheshi Front has said it will support the no-confidence motion. The front has said support in the new government formation process hinges on positions of the Congress and the Centre vis-a-vis its agendas.
