Kathmandu, June 20
Fourteen Nepali security guards have been killed in an early morning suicide attack on a military bus in eastern Kabul on Monday, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior Affairs said.
The suicide bomber targeted the minibus which was carrying employees working for a foreign company in Banae area, PD9 Kabul city, at 05:40 am local time.
According to the ministry, 14 Nepali citizens were killed and nine (five Nepalis and four Afghans) were killed in the incident. The identity of the deceased has not been established.
The Taliban have owned up to the attack, first in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
