Kathmandu, June 22
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has described Monday’s terrorist attack in Kabul as cowardly.
PM Oli said this while talking to the media at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Twelve Nepali security guards working for the Canadian Embassy in Kabul had died and seven other Nepalis sustained injuries in the Taliban attack that occurred when a bus was taking them to their work station.
PM Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa, Home Minister Shakti Basnet, Labour Minister Dipak Bohora, Tourism Minister Ananda Pokharel and Assistant Minister for Local Development Kunti Shahi had reached the airport to receive the bodies. They paid tributes to the fallen workers. Nepalis had nothing to do with the Taliban, PM Oli told media, adding that innocent people were killed in the attack.
