Here’s schedule of Nepal’s repatriation flights for next 15 days

Nepali migrant workers, returning home amid the global Covid-19 crisis, arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, in Kathmandu, in June 2020.

Kathmandu, August 16

In the fifth phase, beginning tomorrow (August 17), the government is conducting 43 flights to take back Nepalis, mostly migrant workers, stranded in various parts of the country due to the Covid-19 crisis.

The aircraft of the national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation, and Himalaya Airlines, as well as those of various foreign airlines, will be used in the flights.

Although the government’s plan to repatriate only a maximum of 500 people has been criticised by stakeholders, the government has already finalised a schedule as per its plan.
