Govt does not recognise Netra Bikram Chand or his group: Oli

Biratnagar, March 17

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli says his government does not recognise Netra Bikram Chand nor his group.

Oli, who was talking to mediapersons at the Biratnagar Airport, said that the Chand group has not been registered at any government office. “The government does not recognise any group that has not been registered,” added the Prime Minister.

The Chand group is not a political party, they are engaged in violent activities, and that is why we have banned their programmes, added PM Oli. He also urged leaders of political parties to think before commenting on the Chand-led group.

“My request to our leaders is that, do not say something that you can’t defend,” he said.

The Prime Minister, however, ruled out the possibility of a Cabinet reshuffle. “We’ll appoint a minister to the ministry which has fallen vacant, that is all we are going to do,” he added.
