The seat is wider which makes it comfortable for both the rider and the pillion rider.

Performance

Yamaha Fascino 125 FI is powered by an all-new 125cc BSVI compliant air-cooled FI engine. This new 125cc blue core engine produces a maximum power output of 8.2 PS @ 6,500 RPM and a maximum torque of 9.7 Nm @ 5,000 RPM. This power output is 30% more and fuel economy are 16% higher than its 113cc sibling.

The upgrades in performance are similar to Yamaha RayZR 125 FI. Drive force at the rear wheel at low speeds has been improved by 30%. Power in the 30-60 km/h range, pivotal for overtakes, has been improved by 30%. The all-new Fascino with BS-VI engine boasts an increase in mileage by 16% though featuring a more powerful engine. This is due to the astute technology of the smart motor-generator and stop and start system which can be found in the new RayZR 125 FI as well.

The stop and start system automatically stops the engine when the vehicle is at a stop and idling mode; this is a great feature that helps in saving fuel and even Hero Maestro Edge 110 has introduced this feature. This feature can soon be a must-have in every two-wheeler.

There is also a smart motor-generator (SMG) in this scooter that brings a quieter engine start that adds an electric motor giving a power assist when you accelerate from a stop and eliminating the initial power lag during start-outs.

Safety features

Some of the highlighted features on Yamaha Fascino 125 FI are:

  • Smart motor generator

  • Telescopic suspension
  • Quicker acceleration
  • Two level seat
  • 12-inch cast wheel with disc brake at the front
  • Unified braking system
  • In-built side stand engine cut-off switch
