2. Yamaha R15 V4

Continuing the same legacy with a new look is the Yamaha R15 V4. The V4 is the successor of the V3 and was launched in October of 2022. The bike carries the same 155CC legacy with a new updated look, safety features and performance most higher CC sports bikes have.

3. Yamaha R15 M

Third on the list of sports bikes is Yamaha R15 M. Yes again another Yamaha R15. The R15 M was launched alongside the R15 V4 in Nepal. Both fall under the sports bikes category and there aren’t huge differences between them except for the badging and colours.

The only major difference you get between the M and the V4 is that there is a quick-shifter as standard present in the R15 M whereas only the R15 V4’s Racing Blue colour option gets the quick-shifter. Except for these, all the specifications are the same.

With its 249cc, 1-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine, it delivers a peak power of 20.5kW at 9750rpm and torque of 22 Nm at 7,500rpm. It is equipped with a 6-speed transmission and slipper clutch for enhanced control. The bike’s aluminium alloy chassis ensures stability, while the front telescopic upside-down suspension and rear mono suspension deliver a comfortable.

6. Honda CBR 250R

A listicle without Honda, I guess no. Honda like other manufacturers is known for their wide range of motorbikes category. The Honda CB Shine is one of the most popular entry-level and cheap bikes which performs well in all aspects. Under the sports bikes category too, Honda has some of the absolute beasts like the Honda CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP which is the ultimate sports bike used for racing. In Nepal, the Honda CBR600RR is on top of the most famous sports bikes as it can be seen very often on the Nepalese roads. But the CBR600RR is an expensive option costing Rs 3,450,000.

Honda has another one in their lineup of entry-level sports bikes that costs less than Rs 1,000,000 called the Honda CBR 250R. It has a length of 2032 mm, width of 720 mm, and height of 1127 mm with a wheelbase of 1367 mm and a ground clearance of 145 mm. It weighs 163 kg which is fairly lightweight for a sport bike. It features a 249.6 cc, single-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum net power of over 19.5 kW (26.15 bhp) at 8500 rpm and a maximum net torque of 22.9 Nm at 7000 rpm. 7. TVS Apache RR 310

Next up on the list of sports bikes is from one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers from India, TVS. The TVS Apache RR310 is a powerful and agile motorcycle that is sure to excite motorcycle enthusiasts. It is equipped with a 312.2 cm3 single-cylinder engine that delivers 34 PS of power and 27.3 Nm of torque. The bike has a top speed of 160 km/h and is equipped with ABS-equipped disc brakes. The KTM RC 390 is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a displacement of 373.2 cc. It meets the stringent BS6 emission standards and features advanced technologies such as fuel injection and DOHC for optimal performance.
