Kathmandu, October 16
Vice President Ram Sahaya Yadav and Chief of the Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel held a courtesy meeting at the Vice President’s office in Lainchaur on Friday.
After exchanging Dashain greetings, they held a cordial discussion on the country’s overall security situation and current national issues, the Vice President’s Secretariat said.
Yadav praised the Nepali Army’s role in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal security, as well as its significant contribution during the Bhotekoshi flood disaster.
Sigdel briefed the Vice President on the army’s security arrangements nationwide, border security, the current peace and security situation, and the army’s rescue work during the Bhotekoshi disaster.
