After the launch of this year’s flagship phone, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi has launched the lite version of Xiaomi 13, called Xiaomi 13 Lite in Nepal. It has a dual selfie camera and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset as its processor. Xiaomi 13 Lite is the successor of the previous year’s Xiaomi 12 Lite.

Display and design
Xiaomi 13 Lite has a design inspired by the previous year’s Xiaomi 12 Lite with some changes. The curved display blends into the plastic frame and the back is made up of glass. The camera includes a triple setup with a bit of camera bump. The main and the ultra-wide camera are in a single circular placement. Likewise, it has the macro and the flash, which are just below the main camera in a box-like structure. It is slim and pretty stylish with a curved display and glass back.
The display on Xiaomi 13 Lite is a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution on it is 2400 X 1800 with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Its display is protected with the help of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has IP53 dust and splash protection. With 1000 nits of peak brightness, it has reading mode and sunlight mode.
Performance and storage
Xiaomi 13 Lite has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (4nm) chipset with an Octa-core (1×2.4 GHz Cortex-A710 and 3×2.36 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A510) CPU. The GPU on it is handled by Adreno 644. The OS on it is Xiaomi’s own MIUI 14 topped off with Android 12.
Xiaomi 13 Lite has a single option for RAM, which is 8GG but has two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. There is no external card slot to increase the storage using a microSD card.
Camera
The camera on Xiaomi 13 Lite includes a triple camera setup on the back and a dual camera setup on the front. The triple camera on the back includes a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera has a lot of features such as 50MP mode, eye tracking mode, night mode, motion capture, timed burst, document mode, AI camera, lighting burst, Google lens, AI beauty, AI beautify on portrait mode, movie frame, pro mode, panorama, HDR, AI distortion correction (ultra-wide), AI SkyScaping and cinematic filters.
The rear camera can record video at 4K (3840×2160) at 30fps, 1080P (1920×1080) at 60fps, 1080P (1920×1080) at 30fps and 720P (1280×720) at 30fps. It also has many video features such as one-click AI cinema, vlog mode, 12 video filters, video teleprompter, movie frame, time-lapse, short video, slow motion video, dual video (main camera + selfie camera) and EIS (1080P at 30fps).
The major attraction of Xiaomi 13 Lite is the dual selfie camera with dual flash on top of it. The front camera includes a 32MP ultra-wide angle camera and an 8MP depth sensor. The dual LEDs or flash on it helps to take proper selfies even a night time, which Xiaomi calls the Xiaomi Selfie Glow. The front camera has many photography features such as dynamic framing (0.6x, 0.8x, 1x), night mode, AI beautify, HDR, selfie timer, screen soft light, palm shutter and pocket mirror.
Xiaomi 13 Lite with the help of the front camera can record 1080P videos at 60 and 30fps. The video features on the front camera include EIS video stabilisation, video teleprompter, vlog mode, ultra-wide angle video and selfie portrait video.
Battery and others
The battery on Xiaomi 13 Lite is a 4500mAh non-removable battery, which can be charged with the in-box 67W fast charger and can charge it to 100 per cent in 40 minutes, according to Xiaomi. The sensors on it include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, linear motor and IR blaster.
It has Dolby Atmos audio, which is good while watching movies or playing games. It has an in-screen fingerprint and AI face lock for security and authentication.
It is available in three colours: black, lite blue and lite pink.
