With seven new cases in Nepalgunj, Nepal Covid-19 tally reaches 82

Kathmandu, May 5

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that seven new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Nepal on Tuesday.

With this, the number of total Covid-19 cases in the country has reached 82.

The ministry’s joint spokesperson Samir Kumar Adhikari says the new cases include three men aged 22, 30, and 40 and four women (including a minor) aged 9, 32, 34, and 55. They are all residents of Nepalgunj-8.

They are all under medical observation and the health status is normal, according to the ministry.

As of now, there are 22 active coronavirus positive cases in the city. The Banke District Administration Office has already decided to impose a three-day curfew in the city starting 11 am today.
