Weather begins to improve as low-pressure system weakens

Kathmandu, February 27

The Meteorological Forecasting Division says the weather condition across the country has begun to improve from Thursday morning after the low-pressure system caused by the westerly influence weakened.

The impact of the low-pressure system has ended from Wednesday night, according to meteorologists. Earlier on Tuesday and Wednesday, the system had triggered rainfall and snowfall in various parts of the country.

Though the weather in Kathmandu has already turned sunny, a few places in the central and western parts of the country are still cloudy, but it will be sunny everywhere on Friday, according to the division.

On Saturday, however, a new weather system will develop, which may cause thunderstorms and rainfall in some places, the meteorologists forecast.
