Kathmandu, August 27

The current monsoon pattern which is active for the past few days is expected to remain weak from Saturday, meteorologists forecasting Nepal weather say.

The current monsoon activities will slow down from tomorrow as the low-pressure line will go down from Friday night.

Senior meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Min Kumar Aryal, says the weather pattern will see gradual improvement from the eastern region of Nepal from Saturday.

He, however, says the monsoon wave is still active, but there will not be torrential rain like that of previous days.

The department says the weather condition will be mostly cloudy throughout the country today and light to moderate rain is likely to occur in many places.

Similarly, chances of heavy rain with thunder and lightning are expected in some places of Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini.
