Nepal weather: Monsoon effects likely to intensify for next 2 days

Kathmandu, September 7

The monsoon winds will be further active for two more days, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology says in a special bulletin about Nepal weather today.

There is a possibility of increased monsoon activities in the coming two days with the entry of moisture-laden wind to Nepal due to the low-pressure system situated in the northwest Bay of Bengal, according to the special bulletin.

The weather is cloudy across the country at present with light rain occurring in some places of Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim. There is also the possibility of light to moderate rain at many places and of heavy rain accompanied by thunder in a few places of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country tonight with chances of light to moderate rain in many places of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
