Mahottari, January 1
Construction of new houses is set to begin soon at the Musahar settlement in Bardibas, Mahottari district. The demolition of old houses, part of Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation’s initiative to develop an integrated model settlement in the village, is now complete.
Campaigners associated with the project have appealed all concerned to help turn the Musahar village into an integrated settlement.
Demolition of old houses is over, said social mobiliser Raj Karan Mahato. The Musahar settlement welcomes all those, who want to contribute voluntary labour for the development of a new settlement. The plan is to lay the foundation stone for the settlement on January 9. The foundation aims to build 50 houses for 270 families.
