Kathmandu, June 19

A central leader of the agitating Rastriya Janata Party Nepal says the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal led by Upendra Yadav took part in local level elections after receiving a hefty sum from the government.

Manish Kumar Suman says he has evidence of the bribery and he is ready to make it public if required.

Speaking with journalists at the Reporter’s Club Nepal in Kathmandu today, Suman said Yadav’s act was a betrayal to people of Madhesh.

Meanwhile, Suman clarified that his party would boycott the second phase of polls on June 28 as well.

“It is our right to boycott the polls,” he said, “But, the government has been suppressing our protests.”

He complained that the government did not heed the party’s demand, forcing it out of the elections.
