Kathmandu, May 20
A young boy in Dang has died after being hit by a tipper.
Akash Sen, 18, from Harneti in Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city-4 in Dang, died on Thursday evening, informs DSP Shyamu Aryal from Tulsipur Area Police Office.
Sen was on his motorbike when a tipper (Ra 1 Pa 3179) hit the vehicle while trying to overtake. Following the accident, Sen was critically injured and rushed to Rapti Provincial Hospital where he breathed his last.
Following his death, his family members have barred tippers from plying on the Kapurkot – Tulsipur road section.
His family members say they will not stop the obstruction until the culprit is punished and the family receives compensation.
The driver is under police custody.
