Kathmandu, December 24
A tiger attack has killed a child in Bardiya.
Sumit Tharu, 11, of Barbardiya Municipality, was killed by a tiger at 12.30 pm near Jira Community Forest on Saturday. Tharu was on his way to take a bath in the Babai River.
Following the attack, Tharu was taken to RC Tharu Memorial Hospital in Jayanagar, Bardia where he died during treatment, said DSP Tulsi Ram Aryal, Information Officer of District Police Office Bardiya.
