Three persons have died after being buried in a landslide in Khoramukh, Machhapuchhre rural municipality-8 of Kaski on Friday morning.
The victims have been identified as Kushal BK (16), Sameer BK (14), and Rojina BK (16), informs the District Police Office spokesperson Subas Hamal. They are all members of the same family.
Following incessant rainfall since last night, the house of Prem BK, the victims’ grandfather, was buried by the landslide this morning. Prem and his wife, however, are safe. Likewise, other family members were not at home during the incident, it has been learned.
“We do knot know when the landslide occurred. We were reported about it this morning,” Hamal says, “Immediately, we went there and dug out three bodies.”
Chief District Officer Gyan Prasad Dhakal and the DPO Chief Jeevan Kumar Shrestha also visited the incident site this morning.
