A man has killed his ex-wife and two daughters in Butwal, Rupandehi district.
According to police, 34-year-old Deepa Basyal and her two daughters, aged 4 and 7, were murdered early Wednesday morning at her former husband Sujan Koirala’s home in Horizon Chowk.
DSP Suraj Karki, spokesperson for Rupandehi Police, said Koirala called Deepa to his residence and attacked them with a sickle and knife around 4 am. Koirala is currently in police custody.
Police also revealed that Koirala had previously served a prison sentence for murdering his own brother but was released under a presidential pardon on Constitution Day.
