Kathmandu, February 22

The Tatopani border point between Nepal and Tibet of China that was shut for the past 10 days has reopened. It is not yet certain when another crucial border point at Rasuwagadhi reopens.

The two borders were closed simultaneously as all workers at the customs yard on the Chinese side went on leave on the occasion of the Lhosar festival.

Lal Bahadur Khatri, the chief of the Tatopani Customs Point, says Nepali traders can now import as many goods as they wish.

Ram Prasad Regmi, his counterpart at Rasuwagadhi, says the Chinese side there has said the border point could reopen on Tuesday, but it is not certain yet.
