Supreme Court registers Dan Bahadur Karki’s writ petition challenging his removal as IGP

Kathmandu, November 6

Dan Bahadur Karki’s writ petition challenging his removal as IGP, which he claims was unlawful, has been registered at the Supreme Court.

Karki had submitted the petition through his lawyers on Thursday. However, the Supreme Court administration confirmed that it was formally registered on Friday.

On Thursday, the court administration had said the petition could not be registered that day as it was still under review.

As per the usual practice, a hearing date is scheduled for the day after a writ petition is registered.
