Kathmandu, May 8
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has called on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Friday afternoon.
The chief of the House of Representatives went to Sheetal Niwas just a few hours before the first meeting of the House in the new session of the Federal Parliament would begin.
Bhandari has summoned the first meeting of the session for 4 pm today.
The speaker’s secretariat says Sapkota briefed the speaker about preventive measures adopted by the House to avoid the risk of coronavirus infection as guided by the World Health Organisation. Likewise, the duo also discussed the government’s policy and programme to be presented by the president in the joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly next week.
