Six more Patanjali products banned in Nepal

Kathmandu, June 21

The Nepal government on Wednesday announced ban on six more products marketed by Patanjali Ayurved Limited, an ayurvedic medicine company owned by Indian yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

Amla Churna, Divya Gashar Churna, Bakuchi Churna, Triphala Churna, Aswagandha Churna and Adiva Chuna have been banned, according to the Department of Drug Administration.

The medicines had failed the microbial test conducted by the Department.

Meanwhile, the Department also directed authorities to immediately recall those products from the market.

The government had banned four products of the company two weeks back.

The action has been taken against Section 14 of the Drugs Act, 1978.
