Janakpurdham, February 10
Two persons died when a motorbike they were riding on was hit by a bus in Naraha rural municipality-5 of Siraha district on Monday.
The victims have been identified as Shailendra Mandal (45) and Aman Mandal (30) from Siraha municipality-3 of the district.
The duo, riding the two-wheeler (Lu 16 Pa 4441), was hit by the bus along the Siraha-Choharwa road. Seriously injured in the accident, police rescued them and rushed them towards Biratnagar for further treatment. But they breathed their last on the way, informs DSP Bidur Ghimire at the District Police Office.
Police impounded the bus and arrested its driver for further investigation.
