The Armed Police Force has seized goods worth more than Rs 2.6 million from various border areas of Siraha that were being illegally taken to India or brought into Nepal from India. According to the Armed Police Force, clothes, cosmetics, grocery items, alcoholic beverages and other drinks, hardware parts, seeds and other goods were seized from various border areas on Sunday.
The total value of the seized goods was estimated at around Rs 2,629,993, the Armed Police Force said. SP Suman Jung Thapa, chief of the Armed Police Force in Siraha, said the seized goods were handed over to the Siraha Customs Office after completing the necessary legal procedures.
