Three persons of the same family have died in a road accident in Lahan of the Siraha district on Thursday.
Moti Lal Yadav (65), his nephew Ram Kumar Yadav (30) and grandson Abhishek Yadav (7) from the Dighiya village in Balan Bihul rural municipality-2 of the neighbouring Saptari district died after a motorbike they were travelling on was hit by a tipper yesterday.
The motorbike (Province 2-01-002 Pa 2682) was hit by the tipper (Sa 1 Ka 262) in Lahan-3 along the Lahan-Thadi road section, informs DSP Tapan Dahal, the chief of the Lahan Area Police Office.
Meanwhile, one person has sustained injuries in the accident.
Following the accident, the entire Dighiya village in Balan Bihul rural municipality-2 of the Saptari district is in grief. They are preparing to bring the bodies of the victims for the funeral soon.
