Four accused in the mass murder at Madi municipality-1 in the Sankhuwasabha district have been ordered to be remanded for further investigation into the case.

The Sankhuwasabha District Court’s information officer Dilli Prasai says Khadga Bahadur Karki, Lok Bahadur Karki, Rana Bahadur Karki and Hasta Bahadur Karki were remanded in custody for further probe.

Likewise, a 17-year-old Naresh Karki has been ordered to be sent to the Child Correction Home, Biratnagar for being a minor. Tej Bahadur Karki (52), his mother Parbati Karki (84), spouse Kamala Karki (52), daughter-in-law Ranjana Karki (32), grandson Dipen Karki (8), and granddaughter Goma Karki (5) of Umling Khola, Madi-1 were killed on September 6.
