Police have arrested a 43-year-old man on the charge of murdering his 80-year-old neighbour in Sirise, Panchkhapan municipality-3 of the Sankhuwasabha district in Province 1.
Bishnu Tamang is accused of killing Aaita Bahadur Rai. Tamang, under the influence of alcohol, had beaten up Rai black and blue on Saturday night. Seriously injured, he was rushed to the District Hospital in Khandbari, but he breathed his last there during treatment today, it has been learned.
Police are further looking into the case.
