Kathmandu, October 18
Three persons died in two road accidents in the Sankhuwasabha district of eastern Nepal on Sunday.
An India-registered vehicle carrying cement for the Arun III Hydropower Project had fallen off around 150 metres down the road in Kerabari, Chicila rural municipality-3 at around 8 pm yesterday. Three persons had sustained injuries, of which two died during treatment at the District Hospital in Khandbari this morning.
The victims have been identified as Shyam Jha (35), an Indian citizen, and Shree Niwas Singh (40).
Meanwhile, one man died when a tractor fell around 300 metres down the road in Tinjure of Madi municipality-1 of the district on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Ramesh Dahal (37), who was driving the vehicle.
Dahal was a permanent resident of Laligurans municipality-1 of the neighbouring Tehrathum district.
