Kathmandu, November 7

The death toll of a bus accident in the Salyan district of Karnali has reached 12, according to police officials in the district.

The victims include 10 men and two women, informs DSP Govinda Thapa, the chief of the District Police Office. Yet to be identified, six died on the spot and six breathed their last during treatment.

At least 18 others are injured, according to Thapa. Of them, seven are critical and have been rushed to Nepalgunj for further treatment.

Others are being treated in Shreenagar and Khalanga of the district.

Salyan bus accident kills 8

Kathmandu, November 7

Eight persons have died in a bus accident in the Salyan district of Karnali on Sunday morning.

DSP Govinda Thapa of the District Police Office says the bus (Ra 1 Kha 2552) heading to the neighbouring Dang district fell off the road at Kharkhola, Kapurkot rural municipality-5 of the district at around 11 am.

The bus fell off around 200 metres down the road.

Many people have sustained injuries in the incident. They have been brought to Shreenagar of the Salyan district for treatment.
