Kathmandu, March 18
Lawmakers from the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal yet again obstructed meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday.
RPJ-N has been demanding that the government make public the report of the commission formed to investigate into the 2015 Tikapur killing. RNP-N presidium member Anil Kumar Jha said that the government was not obeying the speaker’s ruling on the issue. Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has already instructed the government to make public the report produced by a high-level commission led by former justice Girish Chandra Lal.
Jha also said that the party will not allow the meeting to go ahead until the report is made public. He further added that until the report was made public, the people wouldn’t know who was responsible for the 2015 incident.
