The reconstruction tasks of 904 drinking water and sanitation projects damaged by the Gorkha earthquake have been completed, according to the National Reconstruction Authority.
A total of 3,212 drinking water and sanitation projects in 17 districts were damaged by the earthquake on April 25, 2015. NRA spokesperson Yamalal Bhusal informs that reconstruction works of 965 projects are underway.
A total of Rs 1.10 billion has been allocated for the reconstruction of damaged drinking water and sanitation projects in the current fiscal year, according to the NRA.
Bhusal said that reconstruction progress of drinking water and sanitation projects reached 48 per cent.
