Realme has announced its next budget smartphone, the Realme Narzo 60x 5G. The smartphone has a beautiful and slim design and a mid-range 5G chipset, delivering excellent performance on a budget. Realme’s Narzo series is quite popular in the budget category.
The Narzo 60x 5G is the continuation of the Realme Narzo 60 series which includes the Realme Narzo 60 5G and the Realme Narzo 60 Pro 5G. The Narzo 60x is the budget, the Narzo 60 is the midrange and the Narzo 60 Pro is the premium smartphone in the Narzo 60 series.

Design and display
The Realme Narzo 60x 5G has a similar design to the Realme 11 number series. In fact, the Realme 11 number series and the Narzo 60 series share a similar design language. The Realme 11 Pro and the Realme 11 Pro+ share the same design in the Realme Narzo 60 and Realme Narzo 60 Pro, whereas the Realme 60x 5G shares the same design as the Realme 11 and 11x which was launched about a month ago.
The Narzo 60x 5G has a large circular camera module which houses the dual-camera setup on the back. The phone is tall with the back and frame made up of polycarbonate material. It is available in two colours; Stellar Green and Nebula Purple. The Stellar Green has a criss-cross pattern which has a glittery pattern and gradient light effect. The Nebula Purple has a shiny and grainy smooth texture on the back.
On the front, it has a hole punch camera cutout which houses the selfie camera. The bezels on the side are thin and equal while the top and chin are slightly thicker. It has a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
It offers a peak brightness of 550 nits in normal lighting conditions and 680 nits in bright lighting conditions. With a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio, the display delivers a pixel density of about 392 ppi.
Performance and storage
The Realme Narzo 60x 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6,100+ chipset, built on a 6nm process. Its octa-core CPU consists of 2 high-performance Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and 6 power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz.
To handle the graphics, it has a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The overall performance of the smartphone is quite good. It runs on the Android 13 operating system with the Realme UI 4.0 user interface. There are a few bloatware and pre-installed apps on the phone but can be easily removed for a clean user experience.
For RAM, it has two options 4 GB and 6 GB+. The 6 GB RAM option has a virtual RAM feature allowing the users to add 6GB more RAM to a total of 12 GB which is helpful while playing games and other memory-consuming tasks. In terms of storage, both the RAM options are paired with one storage option of 128 GB. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot for users to increase the storage.
The Realme Narzo 60x 5G has a dual camera on the back. It consists of a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for depth sensing. The camera is relatively good for the price which is possible with the chipset and processing.
The details are quite good with almost natural skin tone in human subjects. The rear camera has different modes like night, pro, panorama, 50MP, video, slow-motion, text scanner and street to enhance the photo and video experience. The rear camera can record 1,080p and 720p videos at 30fps.
The front camera in the Narzo 60x 5G is an 8MP sensor with an f/2,1 aperture. The rear camera also clicks detailed selfies and videos. It can record 1,080p videos at 30fps.
Battery and others
The Realme Narzo 60x 5G comes equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery which supports 33W wired fast charging. It can charge from 1-50 per cent in about 30 minutes. In terms of connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac on dual bands, for seamless internet connection. It also supports Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless data transfer and connectivity with other devices.
For audio, it features a mono speaker on the bottom and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. For security, it is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and compass.
The Realme Narzo 60x 5G is available in two colour options; Stellar Green and Nebula Purple.
The expected price of the Realme Narzo 60x 5G in Nepal is Rs 24,000 for the 4/128GB variant and Rs 26,000 for the 6/128GB variant.
