OPPO Reno10 5G: A stylish mid-range phone launching soon in Nepal

OPPO’s mid-range option, the OPPO Reno10 5G is launching soon in Nepal. The Oppo Reno series is quite popular for its elegant design and camera features. The Oppo Reno10 is part of the Reno 10 series, including the Pro versions; the Oppo Reno10 Pro and Oppo Reno10 Pro+. The Reno10 series is the successor of the Reno9 series which includes the Oppo Reno9, Oppo Reno9 Pro and Oppo Reno9 Pro+.

Oppo is introducing the base model of the Reno10 series in Nepal after nearly five months since its launch in India. The Reno10 5G differs in display features, camera, chipset, GPU, and battery when compared to its siblings.

Design and Display

The Oppo Reno10 5G design is changed from its predecessor the Oppo Reno9. The Reno10 series all have a similar design language. The Reno10 5G has a pill-shaped camera module which houses the triple camera setup. The back is made up of glass. The smartphone has two colour options; Silvery Grey and Ice Blue. Oppo calls the glass back Oppo Glow which glows when light reflects. The Silvery Grey colour option has a white and grey gradient glow and the Ice Blue colour option has a red and orange gradient glow.

The frame on the Oppo Reno10 5G is made up of plastic with a metal-like shine. On the front, it has a curved display which makes the frame thin on the sides and gives a premium feel. It has a centred hole-punch cutout which houses the selfie camera. The bezels on the sides are skinny whereas the top and the chin have a bit thicker bezels but are not too chunky.

The Oppo Reno10 5G has an AMOLED panel of 6.7 inches and a screen ratio of 93.0 per cent. It has an FHD+ resolution of 2,412 × 1,080 pixels with a pixel density of 394 ppi. It has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz for smooth interactions. The display supports a wide colour range, covering 100 per cent DCI-P3 in Active Mode and 100 per cent sRGB in Soft Mode, showcasing 1.07 billion hues with a 10-bit colour depth.

The brightness levels are also good, reaching 500 nits under standard conditions, 800 nits under sunlight, and up to 950 nits for HDR content. The display is protected by AGC DT-Star2 cover glass for protection against accidental drops and scratches.

Performance and Storage

The Oppo Reno10 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset built on a 6nm process, delivering good performance. Its octa-core CPU, featuring two powerful Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz, ensures smooth multitasking. It is equipped with an ARM Mail-G68 MC4 GPU for handling gaming and multimedia. It runs on ColorOS 13.1 and Android 13 operating system.

As for memory, the Oppo Reno10 5G has a single option of 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

Camera

The Oppo Reno10 5G comes with a versatile triple rear camera setup. The main camera is a 64MP lens with an f/1.7 aperture with a field of view (FOV) at 81°. It’s complemented by a 32MP telephoto lens at f/2.0 and a 49° FOV, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens at f/2.2 and a broad 112° FOV. The rear camera supports a 2× hybrid optical zoom and an impressive 20× digital zoom. The rear camera features include photos, videos, night photos, portraits, professional photos, panorama, super text, Google Lens, cute shots, dual-view video, ultra-clear image quality, high pixel mode, time-lapse photography and slow motion.

The Oppo Reno10 5G can record in different resolutions, 4K at 30fps for ultra-high-definition, 1080P at 60fps/30fps for full HD, and 720P at 60fps/30fps for high-definition videos. The camera setup also Video OIS with EIS, ensuring stable and steady footage, and specialised modes such as Super Steady Shot enhance stabilization specifically at 1080P at 60fps. Slow-motion video is available at 1080P at 120fps/480fps and 720P at 240fps/960fps. The video features also include video zoom shots, time-lapse photography at 1080P at 30fps, and dual-view video recording at 1080P at 30fps.

On the front, the Oppo Reno10 5G has a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture and an 89° FOV. It doesn’t support AF or OIS. The front camera supports video recording up to 1080P and 720P at 30fps. The front camera offers various shooting modes, including panorama photos, portrait retouching, cute shots, and time-lapse photography.

Battery and Others

The Oppo Reno10 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery which can last a day in normal usage without any load. It is paired with 67W wired charging for fast refill. As for connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, supporting dual-band connectivity for fast internet access and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connections with compatible devices. It is equipped with LTE and 5G network support and also accommodates dual SIM cards, allowing users to manage multiple networks simultaneously.

Its audio features are enhanced by stereo speakers for an enhanced multimedia experience. It also includes a wide range of sensors like geomagnetic induction, ambient light induction, proximity sensor, acceleration sensor, gravity sensor, gyroscope, infrared sensor and an under-display fingerprint sensor.
