Realme’s flagship killer series, the GT series, has returned with the Realme GT 6T. The Realme GT 6 is also appearing soon at the end of June in India. The 6T on the other hand is a rebadged version of the Realme GT Neo6 SE with few changes in terms of charging and memory options.

The Realme GT series gained a wide range of attention with the GT Neo 3 with the performance and flagship killer specs it provided. The GT series is popular for its fast performance, charging speed and display quality.

The GT has returned after two years of making headlines in the tech world. The smartphone will compete against the recent POCO F6 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G and OnePlus 12R. Let us see what the smartphone offers in terms of specs.

Design and Display

Being the rebadged version of the Realme GT Neo6 SE, the design is the same in the Realme GT 6T. On the back, it has a plastic dual-tone finish. The camera part has a rectangular shiny part which acts as a mirror whereas the upper portion and the lower portion of the shiny part is a matte finish texture. The design is also called nano mirror for the matte and shiny natural finish. The back is slightly curved towards the plastic frame which also has a metal-like shiny finish.

On the front, Realme has provided top-notch display protection with the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the GT 6T. A flagship-grade display protection at the price range is appreciated by many. It has a centre-hole punch cutout for the selfie camera. The display is slightly curved towards the frame giving it a premium look.

The Realme GT 6T features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2780×1264. This display supports a typical brightness of 1000 nits and can boost to 1600 nits under High Brightness Mode and can achieve up to 6000 nits on Average Picture Level. It offers a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 2500Hz, making interactions and movements smooth and responsive. The screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, supports 1.07 billion colours with 10-bit depth, and has a typical contrast ratio of 5000000:1. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 94.20% for an immersive viewing experience.

Performance and Storage

The Realme GT 6T is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm process. It features an octa-core CPU with a configuration of one 2.8 GHz Cortex-X4 core, four 2.6 GHz Cortex-A720 cores, and three 1.9 GHz Cortex-A520 cores for a balanced performance. The graphics processing is handled by the Adreno 732 which works along with the chipset to deliver ultimate performance and multimedia experience.

The Realme GT 6T features the Iceberg Vapor Cooling System with a 10,014mm² 3D tempered dual Vapor Chamber and a 9-layer cooling structure. This design, along with side full partition cooling and a double-layer three-dimensional heat dissipation structure, significantly enhances heat dissipation by 300%. The Middle Frame Cooling Structure further reduces the middle frame temperature by up to 2℃, ensuring consistent, comfortable and high-performance gaming and demanding tasks.

The GT 6T runs on Realme UI 5.0, based on Android 14 and Realme is set to provide 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. It comes with 8GB of RAM option which is paired with two storage options including 128GB and 256GB.

Camera

The Realme GT 6T camera system features a dual camera setup at the rear which includes a main camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor with a 50MP resolution, 25.56mm focal length, 79° field of view, f/1.88 aperture and a 5P lens. The 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera is equipped with a Sony IMX355 sensor and offers a 15.91mm focal length, 112° field of view, f/2.2 aperture and a 5P lens, enabling wide-angle shots.

The photography functions include Photos, portraits, night scenes, High Pixel, panorama, Long Exposure Photo, Professional Mode, Street Shooting Mode, Super Text, videos, Movie mode, multi-scene videos, time-lapse photography and Slo-mo. For video recording, the Realme GT 6T supports 4K at 60fps and 30fps, 1080P at 60fps and 30fps, and 720P at 60fps and 30fps with EIS and OIS stabilization at 1080P 60fps. Additional features include movie mode at 4K 30fps, slow-motion recording at 1080P 120fps and 720P 240fps, time-lapse at 4K 30fps and 1080P 30fps and multi-view recording at 1080P 30fps.

The Realme GT 6T has a 32MP selfie camera with a Sony IMX615 sensor, featuring a 21mm focal length, 90° field of view, f/2.45 aperture and 5P lens for detailed and wide-angle selfies. Its photography functions include standard photo capture, portrait mode, night scene optimization, panorama shots, video recording, multi-scene video capture and time-lapse photography. For video recording, it supports up to 4K resolution at 30fps, defaulting to 1080P at 30fps and 720P at 30fps. Additionally, the front camera offers video stabilization at 1080P 30fps for smooth and steady footage.

Battery and Others

The Realme GT 6T packs a large 5500 mAh battery allowing it for extended usage durations without frequent recharging. Even to charge it has 120W wired charging capability for lightning-fast charging speeds. It includes a 120W charging brick in the box. On the connectivity front, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6 for fast and stable internet connections alongside Bluetooth 5.4 for seamless wireless pairing with other devices. It has LTE and 5G network compatibility for swift data speeds and reliable connectivity in both urban areas and remote locations and Dual SIM slots provide flexibility for users to manage multiple networks or SIM cards simultaneously.

The GT 6T also has premium audio features, including stereo speakers, dual-mic noise cancellation, and Hi-Res Audio Certification delivering an immersive and high-quality audio experience. Additionally, it has a comprehensive array of sensors, including geomagnetic, light, colour temperature, proximity, acceleration, gravity, and gyroscope sensors and an under-display fingerprint sensor.

The Realme GT 6T is available in two colour options; Fluid Silver and Razor Green.

The Realme GT 6T is anticipated to launch soon in the Nepali market too with the starting price expected to be anywhere around Rs 55,000 for the 8/128GB memory option and Rs 62,000 for the 8/256GB memory option.
