Though being a budget-friendly phone, Realme C33 offers an eye-catching design. The phone has a glass front, a plastic back and a plastic frame build. With the sea being the main theme of the design, the dynamic beams of the light on the phone are said to resemble the water flowing in the sunlight. The trendy flat-back design looks pretty good and adds a little premium feeling to the phone. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the side, which also works as the power button.

On the front, Realme C33 has a 6.50-inch IPS LCD display offering a resolution of 720*1,600 pixels and 270 PPI density. The display can reach up to 400 nits of brightness, which is not so pleasing.

Camera

A minimalistic camera setup can be expected from Realme C33. The 50MP primary camera sensor on the back is accompanied by a 0.3MP depth sensor. Though a 50MP primary sensor may provide decent shots, it is really questionable how the depth sensor will perform. Meanwhile, on the front, there is a 5MP selfie shooter with an HDR feature.

The primary camera on the phone is capable of capturing videos up to 1080p resolution @ 30fps. Meanwhile, the front-facing camera can record videos in 720p resolution only.

Performance and storage

Realme C33 runs on Realme UI S based on Android 12. The phone is powered by Unisoc T612 (12nm) chipset and the graphics are handled by Mali-G57.

At the moment, Realme C33 is available in two storage options. The 3GB RAM option is coupled with 32GB of internal storage while the 4GB RAM variant is coupled with a 64GB storage option. The user can further extend the storage with a micro SD card and there is a dedicated slot on the phone for the card.

Battery life, connectivity and others

Realme C33 has a typical 5,000mAh non-removable li-ion battery backup. There is no mention of fast charging support on the phone. The phone also has ultra-saving mode and upon enabling that when the battery is five per cent, the user will get up to 1.2 hours of WhatsApp chatting, up to 1.8 hours of calls and up to 4.1 hours of Spotify streaming as claimed by the company.

The phone supports dual sims with up to 4G network connectivity. It also has connectivity options like GPS and Bluetooth 5.0. The Bluetooth feature can be used for wireless pairing with other devices. Meanwhile, the phone uses a micro USB 2.0 cable for charging and wired connectivity. The micro USB can be a deal-breaker as smartphones in a similar price category are offering faster-charging systems and USB Type-C cables.

For the audio, Realme C33 offers Dirac 3.0 technology, which is said to provide a clearer and more powerful sound quality. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone audio jack.

Realme C33 is priced at Rs 16,499 for 3/32GB and Rs 18,499 for 4/64GB variants.
