Realme 9i has been announced as the latest addition to the Realme smartphone series. The phone was officially released in India on January 18 and it will be soon available in Nepal.

The last year (2021) saw a huge rise in Realme’s market coverage and sales in Nepal. This is all thanks to its latest releases. In 2021, Realme launched a variety of smartphones in the market in different price categories. It launched budget phones like C25Y, C21Y, Narzo series, and low-end mid-range like Realme 8i as well as premium mid-range GT Neo 2, which was probably the best smartphone in that category.

The new 9i is the successor of the Realme 8i launched last year and, for sure, is a good smartphone for its budget price. Let’s get into the details of the phone and know if the new release provides any exciting features.

Both cameras on the front and back can record videos in 1080p @ 30fps. The cameras on the phone feature different modes like 50MP mode, night mode, panoramic view, expert, timelapse, portrait mode, slow motion, super text, ultra macro, and HDR.

Giving the juice to the phone is a 5,000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. The phone supports 33W fast charging and gets fully charged in about 70 minutes. This power should provide you 995 hours of standby time, 48.4 hours of phone calls, 20.7 hours of WhatsApp time, and 116.3 hours of music time.

Storage, connectivity, and others

Realme 9i is available in three different variants. The phone is available with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage options. The memory on the phone can be expanded with a microSD card and it has a dedicated slot on the phone.

An interesting feature of the phone is it has a dynamic RAM expansion (DRE) technology. This allows the RAM of the phone to be expanded by up to 5GB. However, this option is available on the 6GB variant only.

For connectivity, Realme 9i supports dual 4G network sim cards. The phone also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C 2.0. For audio, the phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual stereo speakers.

Realme 9i is priced the same as Realme 8i in India. The 4/64GB variant costs INR 13,999 and the 6/128GB variant costs INR 15,999. If this remains the same in Nepal, people here can expect the price of the phone at Rs 24,999 for a 4/64 GB version and Rs 27,999 for a 6/128GB variant.
